Angelo's
About This Spot
Stepping into Angelo’s feels like being welcomed into a warmly lit, familiar corner of an Italian neighborhood where time slows just enough to savor the moment. The atmosphere carries a quiet, old-school charm—a place where the buzz of conversation and clinking glasses unfolds at a comfortable, unhurried pace. Its inviting, cozy setting encourages lingering over meaningful plates and genuine company, making it feel less like a restaurant and more like a beloved gathering spot.
Here, food arrives not as a mere meal but as a continuation of a story steeped in tradition. Whether it’s the rich aroma of simmering sauces or the comforting heft of well-loved classic dishes, each bite reflects a dedication to authenticity and generous hospitality. It’s the sort of place where familiar favorites—creamy manicotti, tender veal cutlets, freshly made pasta, or a perfectly pulled espresso—are enjoyed alongside new discoveries, all served with care and a nod to heritage.
Angelo’s feels grounded in its community, a steadfast spot where celebrations and quiet weekday dinners unfold with equal ease. The bar buzzes softly with crafted cocktails sharing space alongside bottles of deep, thoughtful red wine, complementing the food’s warmth. Staff move through the room with an experienced confidence, adding thoughtful touches that hint at the family stories embedded into the restaurant’s long history.
More than just a place to eat, Angelo’s fosters a calm, welcoming rhythm—where the focus is on savoring authentic flavors, sharing conversation, and returning again, as if to a friend’s home just down the road.

I’ve been to a lot of Italian restaurants and this one is definitely a highlight. It’s maintained an old school Italian charm that’s hard to come by these days. Food is delicious with generous serves - I highly recommend the calamari casserole (plus a side of linguini) but everything was great. Only downside was that service was a little abrupt but overall had a lovely experience here.

Angelo's in Clifton and Angelo's in Lindhurst both deliver. Their salads and cooked pasta dishes are very good. Angelo's single serve pizzaa are also worth giving a try. The 18" deep dish pizzas are very filling. Although the pizza I had delivered had a sign of some healthy char (a good thing!) the crust was a little doughy. 5 minutes in my hot home oven fixed that! Ask for well done, my fault for not asking.

Will be celebrating beloved Uncle Tony's life next week at our "coveted restaurant." Uncle Tony loved dining here & so do we. Thank you for always excellent beautiful memories. Delicious custom food made to your specs, professional, caring staff. WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!!

Old school Italian restaurant. I got the chicken parmigiana with the spicy sauce, and rigatoni with meat sauce on the side. Good taste.

Angelo's was an old school Italian experience...!! We had an excellent waiter who, after our meal, gave a little history on the restaurant. My rigatoni with meat sauce and cold ricotta on the side was made to perfection, couldn't have asked for a better meal.....!

Are you ready for the experience of a lifetime? From your first step inside, you know you are in for a culinary and cultural treat! I don't even know where to begin. Our family has been coming here for 50 years. Angelo was part of our family. His family and team have created an unparalleled experience in authentic Italian dining. It's like stepping back in time. The food is prepared with love. From cocktails to espresso, you won't be disappointed! Go to Angelo's with your friends and family today!! God Bless Blue & Gold!! God Bless America!! Remember Everyone Deployed Everyday!!

The food was delicious! It taste like someone's Nonna is the chef in the kitchen! Everything is fresh! Theres definitely not frozen reheated food coming from this place. We had the manicotti, rigatoni with ricotta and a side of meatballs. Absolutely amazing. We didnt have dessert because we were too full. I highly recommend eating here but definitely make a reservation because it gets packed. The only downside was the difficulty finding a parking spot.
